Reminded me of one of George Carlin’s observations on airline announcements: “What does it mean to pre-board? You get on before you get on?” So I guess “pre-disappoint” would mean to be let down before you’re let down. Thanks, but once is once too many.

I guess it’s better to pre-disappoint than to get someone’s hopes up and then disappoint.
