Holly, you’re just plain lazy! Think of all those hungry brain cells crying out for an education! Thinking about boys, boys, and boys will get you Nowhere in the world of tomorrow! ;)

I repeatedly got the same lecture through middle and high school. I didn’t actually start caring until I got to college with subjects I could choose and teachers that weren’t required to make sure everyone passes.

I got so I hated the word “Potential.” As in, “You’re smart. You have a lot of potential!” Usually followed by, “…if you’d just apply yourself.” Problem was, what was there for me to apply myself to? I was bored silly because I was an inveterate bookworm. Most of it I’d already read – or they’d taught the same info for the last three years and I had an excellent memory.
In high school, I often skipped classes, showed up for tests, aced the tests – and went back to skipping classes. Kids took to calling me “Encyclopedia Di.”
Potential. Bah, humbug!

Holly you really need to get busy get that mind to absorb material show the teachers potential.
My daughter went to school she wanted to learn but was held back. She gained more from community college then regular school. Son was not interested in school at all. He felt school work go away he did get transferred out. For me the mom I like learning and taking on-line classes now getting more expensive. I have learned a lot I finish next year.

What has Holly ever done that would make her seem smart? I can’t think of anything.
