No, only next year — already she was in this grade last year (SS’s timeline is supposed to be 3 days comic = 1 day real)

If you’re going to make comments, at least use the right words. Perhaps you mean tutoring, I’m not sure.

This is an unusually caring teacher in my experience. Well, it is a comic after all. But then again it is a woman teacher so maybe there is some truth to it. My teachers were only concerned about how our weight lifting was coming along. I told them that I worked after school and week ends lifting a myriad of heavy things but that wasn’t good enough. They wanted more. They wanted me on those weights gutting it out. About my academics? Not a mention, ever. So you might think these so called coach/teachers may have had superior insights and weight lifting is useful in college. But no, I found that weight lifting has no place in college at all.

What we have to do is put women in charge of our public education because the men tend to run amok and emphasis sports. There is now a big professional performance gap developing between the genders with the women doing better academically and professionally than than our males in the US who are being left in the dust.

    Better look it up.

One of my HS coach/teachers just expired last week. His view was that w/o decent academics as back up sports were worthless. That echoed the school – you had to maintain a B+ avg. to play ANY school sponsored sports, a view I supported.

“Remove sports from schooling. Just PE no organized sports.”

    I wish that were possible.
