Still to finish one, Frazz (Jef)?

Jef’s finished two IMs, 2008 and 2009. About time for another.

For those who are sports-impaired like me, I believe Frazz is referring to an Ironman Triathlon. I must confess it took me quite a while to understand what on Earth he meant by having trouble finishing a comic / movie / whatever.

We can put a man on the moon, so why can’t we make a good-tasting cup of decaffeinated coffee?

Buzz Aldrin said, “If we can conquer space, we can conquer child hunger.” I have two problems with that. First, conquering space will not conquer anyone’s hunger unless we find a place that already has lots of food. Second, who says we’ve conquered space yet? We’ve barely made it to our own moon.

My school district currently has students that speak 86 different languages and had 1400 homeless students last year. Only 3% of students in Finland are living in poverty compared to 56% of students in my district. US schools with poverty rates comparable to Finland’s perform better than Finnish schools on international exams.
