Yes, pull up your big boy (or girl) pants and get yourselves covered…with pants AND health insurance!

The key demographic the administration wanted to sign up was 18 to 34 year olds. Assuming an even age distribution 50% of that group (18 to 26) can stay on their parent’s plans due to stupidity from the administration. Here they politicked against themselves to win the vote and in doing so destroyed a key element of their own legislation. Then the 27 to 34 year olds figured out it is cheaper to pay the penalty, assuming that it is even enforced, than get a policy so they let their economically rational choice vote for them.Obamacare is an unmitigated disaster.

Well, the evidence from what we do know about Obamacare sign ups is that this group is badly under-represented and that approxmately half of the predicted signups in this group actually occured..It is economically rational for them to not get insurance if they cannot afford it and Obamacare does not make it affordable for many people, particularly couples and families.

That’s what HHS secretary Selebus is saying but she’s an idiot so we can’t be sure…

The numbers the administration has released along with insurance industry predictions on policy costs in 2015 indicate that Obamacare will enter a “death sprial” of hyper rate inflation followed by increased dropping of coverage by people in the next year. The young (18 to 34) demographic was being counted on to provide a big group of policy holders who would make few claims against those policies. It appears that is not happening. Instead the indigent (heavily subsidized through tax money) and sick (high payout cost) are the ones primarily rushing to buy a policy.

I don’t delete comments off my website. Thanks for driving traffic to it. It could use it. I’ve noticed a significant increase in hits the past two days.
