Mom, get some generic napkins and spare Petey the horror of Klanky.

Until you do, paper towels work just fine. Unless Petey has a phobia about them too

Petey’s changing expressions (and color) are amazing, priceless! Poor Madeline! How does Mom cope with a Petey on the one hand and an Alice on the other? —Bless her and all mothers on this Mother’s Day….

the sound of the ball landing is the palindrome of the sound of the ball being kicked – richard was/is soooooooo clever!

Almost 500 napkins left from a party four or five years ago (how old is Petey?). There must be tons of things to use them for other than waiting around in case you run out of regular napkins.

I played ‘deflated’ soccer with my grand-daughter this afternoon, and I can confirm that Richard mailed the sounds exactly. Oh master of the onomatopoeic palindrome, I salute you!

yep, best sound effect words ever—wonder if Richard could make a living supplying those to other comic artists?

Probably not intended by the author, but biting one’s arm like that is a very common reaction when people with various serious mental problems have a meltdown of sorts. You’d be surprised how many kids are walking around with scabs and marks on their arm right there once you’re familiar with it.
