The idea that America can become energy independent for any length of time and be able to supply Europe is just about the stupidest idea I’ve seen advanced on these pages and by some commentators on FOX in some time..America consumes about 18-19 MILLION barrels of oil daily of which approximately half is imported. That can be improved upon with fracking, but forget about true energy independence. Not going to happen unless on a NA basis and only if the Keystone XL is approved..LNG infrastructure will take many years to develop. And why send a scarce diminishing resource to Europe just to try to control Putin for a short period of time. I can see future generations of Americans shivering in winter and sweltering in summer asking, “Why again did we send our energy supplies to Europe?” Sort of like selling the woodpile to buy a color TV to make out neighbour jealous for a couple months.
