Georgia, Crimea…..does this mean that the Cold War was only in a 1991 to 2008 time out?

That is pretty much the case. When Putin realized that the United States no longer cared about its European allies and was only interested in bringing the Socialist model to the U.S. he decided that the time was ripe for him to take Crimea. The rest of Ukraine will be next, unless our President decides to stand up to the neighborhood bully.

Why don’t we send Bush to talk to Putin? After all, they are soulmates.

While considering your answer, keep in mind that Republican senators blocked a bill to improve benefits through the VA because the VA is inefficient and costs too much. Some tried to tack the increase onto a bill that would provide sanctions against Iran because “it’s the only way we can find a way to pass it”.

Sanctions against Iran: maintaining toughness. Sanctions against Russia: sign of weakness. It’s so hard to keep this stuff straight.
