Taking tight oil and gas into account American has greater reserves than Saudi Arabia. There are generations worth and America is going to make a lot of money exporting it. Solar energy has been on a Moore’s Law curve for over thirty years and it will not be too far down the road that America will not need anywhere near as much oil as it does today.
The idea of using our petroleum and natural gas to avert a major war … terrible. We should save it so we can drive around in the post-nuclear wilderness looking for food.
Enoki and other “Obama can do no wrong DNZombies” are not capable of staying within the bounds of reality as under those circumstances they’d realize how ludicrous their arguments were the minute they came out of their mouths, and so either they’d have to learn something, or stay silent.
Given that DemoCraps in general and hard core liberals in particular have shown through their choice of party a decided preference for ignorance, I wouldn’t be holding my breath on his return to reality if I were you, assume he ever had a grip on it BEFORE he entered the public school system.
The cartoon is saying that Keystone XL is purported to provide increased energy independence for the US and Canada, but most of that oil is going to be shipped to China.
this is true. The stuff from Canada is for exporting. To make a profit.I hope the pipeline is stopped before it gets to the Oglala auquifer. the pipeline has a very bad record of leaks and a few drop of it in water supply would make it so we, our pets, and farm animals would destroy the aquifer.Big Business don’t care about anything except $$$
