GOLF, a good walk spoiled.

@Nabuquduriuzhur: Sorry, but in German fly is ‘Fliege’. Flog is not a German noun, just the past tense of the verb fly. It’s complicated.

It’s called ‘golf’ because all the other four-letter words were taken.Look it up.

Golf is very much like gambling; one good day will make you come back to try to make a repeat.

Bad shots come in groups of 3. a fourth bad shot is the beginning of the next group of 3.

Is that what you call relaxed. I’d hate to see you when you’re not relaxed.

Breaking a club over your knee or tossing your entire bag and clubs into the lake can be very cathartic.

That is how I always enjoyed golf along with two of the best friends I ever had. When we weren’t golfing, we were fishing. I can’t believe how I miss those days. One friend is dead and the other moved to Arizona.
