Why not a prom? Nowadays kids are graduating a couple times before the end of H.S. It makes money.
My daughter went to proms from Jr. HG to High school. Wish I knew of recycled prom dress back then.
She could get asked to prom by an upperclassman. Happened all the time at my high school.

One senior girl took a Marine to our senior prom in 1967.
Naaah that is not desperate.
I’ve seen kindergarten “graduations” complete with caps, gowns and valedictorian!
