    I’ve always wondered about this. If you order it rare and you get it rare, isn’t it well done? But if getting it well done is rare… Oh, the permutations are endless.

    That’s what you asked for! Stop complaining! There used to be a restaurant near me that said in so many words in their menu, “We are not responsible for the flavor or tenderness of steaks ordered well done.” My kind of place!

    I’m reminded of the old crack, going back to the golden age of TV, that “medium” is the perfect term for TV, because it’s so rare that it’s well done.
