Two problems. A) the Europeans came here illegally in the beginning. B) until relatively recently, the standards for legal immigration were very lax. All that European immigration would not have been possible under current standards.

Actually, they didn’t. The rule was (more or less), ‘if you don’t belong to my tribe (clan, nation) you are an intruder and therefore fair game.’ Problem was Europeans kept coming in greater numbers and spreading disease and making (false) treaties. Just no way to enforce anti-immigration rules. … Oh, that sounds familiar for some reason.

Just replace the word “Latino” with American and you’ve got the situation pretty well described. It may be a generation or a hundred back, but the human race developed way across two great big oceans from here, whether you believe the Bible or science. It’s just a matter of timing.

Fantastic portrayal of a liberal and conservative old cranky Latino grandpas, thanks, Lalo!

Have no problem supporting immigrates, Latinos, Orientals, Europeans, Middle Eastern’s, what I have trouble with are illegals who think they deserve special treatment.

Don’t like illegal immigration? The Native Americans are wondering when you’re leaving.

Miss living in a white country where everyone speaks English? JFK has several flights to London every day.

    I’ve got more!

White Anglo Saxon, tell a Cherokee more about how you’re the original Americans?
