For the last three weeks we’ve been 20-30 degrees ABOVE “normal” for our area, and have no snow on the mountain, and it’s just raining today, better than nothing for my well, but need SNOW!!! This change has been in the works for almost a decade now, just not overly “dramatic”, which is exactly what climate change is actually about. It isn’t “the sky is falling” panic time, but it is “pull your head out of the dark place” and wake up to the fact that we need to make changes to prevent worse in the long run.
In epic cold like that, the muddy “chocolate river” (the Petitcodiac) freezes, but never completely so it looks like a neverending chocolate sundae with a cute little bridge on top!
A thin consolation, when you’re waiting for the bus at 7 am and it’s -20 celsius…
