Good one, Pat.The evangelical preachers, and especially the AoG preachers I’m aware of, seem remarkably, obsessively even, focused on our “sinful nature.” The result seems to be that they are widely reputed to know at least half of their female parishioners “in the Biblical sense.” The altar call is for the weak and sinful and fallen, after all, and for sure those preachers can be of great help by putting the FUN in fundamentalist and the THUMP in Bible thumper. I’d be at least mildly surprised if Huckleberry is any different.

No big surprise. This is the same guy who thinks hanging out with Ted Nugent is cool.

Oliphant, listen to the clips. It wasn’t a good move politically, but he was demonstrating far more intelligence than this silly cartoon. How about retirement, Pat?

This would have been funnier if Huckabee hadn’t said that it was the Democrats who thought that way, not that he or the Republicans thought that way. It was a stupid statement anyway, but it’s interesting that the dems can’t resist twisting even an already stupid statement to fit their own propaganda.

Saw the clip. Basically, if you dare have sex, you deserve the punishment of pregnancy. Nice.

Also, the hypocrisy of signing a bill into law requiring insurance policies to cover contraception in Arkansas as governor. And required many more religious organizations to pay for it than ACA ever did.

@KaffekupSaw the clip too. “Basically”, he didn’t say anything remotely like that. Here’s the clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMadW1NewEs

Whatever happened to “You want to play…you have to pay.”???I do not care what anyone wants to do sexually, but IF you have sex… YOU should pay for you own contraception. If you can’t afford the “playing fee”, you shouldn’t play.I don’t expect to pay for your gambling stake if you want to play poker. Why is it my responsibility to pay for contraception if you want to “play the field”?

Except that’s not what he said. He said that LIBERALS think women can’t control their libidos and need the government to give them birth control. Huckabee was saying that conservatives believe women can control themselves.

I’m a liberal, I think he’s wrong and stupid, but the characterization that he was belittling women is wrong and leads to more separation of the sides.

Huck has taken on the Limbaugh spin that hormone therapy is good for only one thing, and sullied it with his own libido.

Nah, Mike Huckabee showed the T-publicans patronizing attitude toward women. He’s ones step away from saying that rape won’t impregnate you unless your want it to.

The fact that Oliphant can read between the lines is what annoys so many of his detractors, who can’t or won’t.

Congratulations, Pat. You swallowed the lie put out by liberals, distorting the truth of what Mike Huckabee actually said. Just remember – when you do stuff like that you let other people know that either you are willing to be crooked for money, or you leto other people know that you are very gullible.
