I can’t believe nobody’s commented on the basic science yet. It’d never work, because the body would absorb heat from the hot coffee and cool it down more quickly. After that the very best you could hope for was coffee served at body temperature, which almost no coffee fan would ever find acceptable.

This is supposed to be a comic strip, but the whole idea that is being presented now is so stupid, I find nothing comical about it.

Rob Harrel was clearly affected by the ads for the Wine Rack Bra Flask.

Not to mention the sitting-down-and-popping-like-a-water-balloon factor.

Psychedelic Donut is correct. In heat flow it matters not what is generating or absorbing heat. The only thing that matters is the difference in temperature between two bodies. Heat will always flow from the warmer to the colder mass. Initially, if the coffee is warmer than body temperature, it will cool until it reaches body temperature. At that point, the coffee will continue to lose heat to the cooler temperatures on surfaces not against the body. The body will then supply heat to to the coffee possibly keeping the coffee from cooling much below body temperature.

And don’t forget, serious coffee drinkers start to whine that their coffee is cold as soon as it gets below 180 degrees!
