Leopold doesn’t get how “knock knock” jokes are supposed to work. His response to Gary was a simple statement of fact, independent of any further linkage. I bet Gary gets it, however….(Gary always “gets it” from Leopold!)
Leo said “knock, knock” to get Gary’s attention. Then when Gary responded to the “knock, knock” joke (which Leo never intended) Leo said “you make me sick” b/c Gary is such a doofus. All Leo wanted in the first place was to get Gary’s attention so he could ask him to pass the ketchup..Whatcha think?
