We’re still waiting for the cold, and snow all over the west. It does represent longer term climate “shifts” (for those that don’t accept “change”), and we’re also worried about water next growing season. But don’t worry, global warming is good and who needs water to grow crops in those warmer temperatures? (Hmm, think Sahara crop production.)
They are probably unemployed and cannot afford to move…… After all, if they’re freezing in their house they likely can’t afford the energy to heat it properly…
That’s my trouble. I was brought up in a climate that needed neither air-conditioning nor central heating. Then I moved to a climate that needed air-conditioning in the summer but was unheard of. Then I moved to a climate that needs central heating in winter (and no air-conditioning in summer) and I got spoilt. Mmm. Cosy. I’ve become a spoilt Westerner, burning our earth and AGW.

Thank you for the link. I am sometimes scared to open links because of so much political discord.

What would northerners do during a hot and humid 107 summer day?

Seriously? That’s the best you can do? Jeez.Though Bush WAS an oil man, as was Cheney…

Well….no. Many would use more air conditioning. That is an item which blows cooled air into a structure and expels heat outdoors.

Fortunately we live in a country where we don’t HAVE TO survive cold weather. If we’re smart, we can move south.
