Straight from the blogs, it's Ridiculous pro-Obamacare talking points. How dumb must you be to not know how to use a website?!? (Man: All you need is a little PCA and multidimensional scaling to hack it.) (Woman: Edward Snowden could do it!) So what if your rates went up? You'll get subsidies. (Man 2: My subsidies are smaller than my rate increase.) (Man 3: Yeah, but subsidies.) If your rates are higher, it's because you live in an expensive county and/or you're old and/or you smoke. (Woman: My rates are low. You should move to where I live) Don't be selfish! Other people's rates are going down. (Man 4: So, in an alternative universe, my rates are lower?) (Woman: Yes! You should move there.)

The ACA is working in those states that are trying to make it work. If your state is controlled by people who are doing everything they can to make it unworkable, you probably do need to move to another state, or— radical idea—- vote for people who put your best interests first instead of the Republican party’s.

Healthcare.gov. looks up your past tax returns. It asks if you expect your 2014 earning will be the same and figures what you will owe in 2015 based on your answers. it does this with all members of your household. Once it figures this it determines if you get a subsidy. It then links to several insurance companies for your state to give you plan costs minus the subsidy and how much you will need to pay each month. Once you pick a plan the information is sent to the insurance company and the IRS. I think this is slightly more complex than anything PETCO does.

The IRS only answers 61% of phone calls it receives. I wonder if the Obamacare bureaucracy can lower that even more?!

Everyone here is arguing over liberal/conservative minutiae. The real issue is: WE NEED UNIVERSAL FREE MEDICAL CARE FOR ALL! Why? because it is a human right. But the insurance and medical industries gave the Demos lots of campaign money and perks, so. . .

Funny, then, that health care increases are the lowest in years, partly because of rate-lowering programs in the ACA.
