Terrorists?

cubefarmer – did you mean ‘tourists’ not ‘terrorists’? And a whaling ship is not a whale watching tour, it is a ship that kills whales.

There is absolutely NO reason for these whale hunters. Had you read carefully, you might have noticed that the pirate ship chased the whaling ship away and did not murder anyone. The whalers, on the other hand, were killing highly intelligent and extremely endangered creatures for no reason other money. So, what’s not funny is that a whaling industry still exists.

I agree with cubefarmer. Using excessive violence is not the way. That is a terrorist. People have a right to choose their way of life. We may not agree with it but hurting/terrorizing people is not the answer.This has happened with protests against logging (metal spikes in trees that cause sever damage when a chainsaw hits it), protests against furriers and even against whaling. Instead of spending money to hurt other people, get the rich people to donate to the politicians who will come up with solutions instead of lining their own pockets.If you have been a whaler all your life why would you stop. Most people can’t afford to take time of work to change professions. They have a family to take care of and bills to pay. I haven’t heard Green Peace implement a program to retrain whalers and pay their salaries while they learn a new school. That is a large amount of money. Is Green Peace going to pay it?

In today’s day and age you actually have the audacity to throw the terrorist label around like that? Wow. And to you Tony, seriously why bother with the sympathy to retrain a people doing something that is internationally illegal. I don’t blame chip one bit for not reading comments, probably saves him alot of grief from the people who take things waaay too far since it’s a comic.

@ tonyb1008 I am sorry but I completely disagree. Nature (which includes mammals) is not just for some greedy corporations and hunters to make money. Nature should be for everyone, and should be preserved and appreciated not pillaged and exterminated. Why do Whaling ships have the right to kill all of the whales? When did they get eminent domain? If you look at every example where people are given “free reign” over any species, they tend to end up extinct. I agree that politicians should do something about this, yet given how crooked they all are I don’t see that in our future. And in the comic, they did not kill anyone. They just drove them away.
