I guess my winter coat isn’t that puffy. I can put it on in the living room, then put my suede boots on in the front hall so I don’t get the rest of the apartment wet.
In my day, we had “rubbers” for rain and puddles, and rubber boots called “arctics” for snow. The arctics had metal buckles on them. Not always easy to snap together.
When taking them off, as often as not the shoe would end up staying inside the boot!

I make those noises without a puffy winter coat… I call them “Old Fart Noises”. Oogie-Oogie-Oogie!
