Puberty is a natural bodily function, not resulting when you have a first crush. Michael was not ready to grow a beard just because he liked Deanna! By the time most of my friends were starting to notice girls, I had already had five girlfriends, but that did not give me a big booming voice! But that is a good point that Gordon teases Mike about Deanna, only to fall hard for Allyson in junior high.
