(BTW, my best friend, and longest term one, now nearly 50 years, readily admits he joined the Texas Guard to avoid meeting up with me in ’Nam, and he too recognizes that Bush was a deserter, even though my friends an extreme right winger, and “natural born Texan”- unlike Bush and Cheney.
