Well, they got three moving parts and the rest is solid-state electronics. Why shouldn’t they still work?

Those pocket radios, did not fit in pockets, and that was the 70s. Warbucks is talking from the late 40s through the 50s.

To the ‘toon, China merely posted an “advisory”, like we’ve done all around the world, then there’s that NORAD thing showing to F-18s trailing Santa- ALL AROUND THE WORLD!

Just another “red herring” for our chickenhawks to latch onto.

The government may have lost 10.5 billion on the sale of its stock. But the government, or in other words taxpayers, avoided much greater losses had GM simply been allowed to go belly up. "
Let us start with the 10 billion. That is we saved around 30 billion becuase the stock is over priced by the fed pumping money into the system inflating the bubble.
Now “saved” what? The other companies that went into bankrupt did not just liquidate like you are suggesting. In fact this was the 2nd bankrupt reorganization. It would have allowed the company to re do contracts with the Unions. Democrates can not have that. So Obama stepped in and gave them money to save the unions. Nothing more was saved, sorry, but almost all the other re organization could have happened with giving them the 10’s of billions! Further more the suckered, I mean secure creditor was illegally not paid over the unsecured!
I should not, but I I will also get into all the sweet haert deals with the Volts and GE. I mean our embassies over seas had a few of them with GE putting in the charges. That allowed Obama to say look green jobs..a lot of good that did Stevens and three other guys..

I have a friend in Georgia who works for Kia and makes a very good living AND doesn’t have to fork over union dues!

Let’s see, we “lost” 10.5B in the auto bailout, but the GAO estimated that we saved close to $40B from the results of the possible bankruptcy and something like 4 million unemployed. Oh, and we made something like a $15B profit from TARP (which was underfunded, at the behest and obstruction of the nay-saying Republicans).
    .
Now then, Conservatives, would you rather we had sunk deep into the throes of another Depression, inside?
    .
Never mind. The question is rhetorical because, after all, you have all the answers, even if and when you’re proved wrong.
