Abner’s plans aren’t working out very well!

He stabbed Lizz with that sword in the Panda’s Agency roundup, if you recall.

Stiletta will be a very UNsatisfied customer!

I was right, AK wanted to finish the job himself… What a maroon, NO ONE can kill Dick Tracy (Unless the Tribune Syndicate cancels the strip, at least)

Is it possible that the shot came from someone else’s gun? If so, I wonder who it could be. I didn’t really think there was any chance Kadaver was going to let Tracy go. We still don’t know who released the hostages. Still so many questions.

By the way, these sword canes are so common that it seems almost every week the Transportation Security Agency finds at least one person trying to take one onto a plane.

I’m thinking Dick had the gun in a locking holster safe from the cement, then poured a little on to it to fool AK… or he’s just lucky

Perhaps Lizz or Sam fired that shot…..

I’m pretty sure it wasn’t Tracy who fired that (BTW, excellent) shot; it seems to have come from a point well to Tracy’s left. Did Sam and Lizz manage to find the lair and get there just at the opportune moment? Did Rikki doublecross Kadaver? Or could there be someone else making an appearance (such as suggested by Sydney Phillips)?

Ectually, if the muzzle isn’t blocked, Tracy could get off at least one shot…

My money is on the ’Mole" taking the shot.

I like the speculation someone made the other day about Rikki perhaps being Fritz Ann in disguise. (Perhaps that explains her intermittent tattoo!).That would explain yesterday’s comment from Sam, “What are YOU doing on THIS wrist wizard?” Fritz Ann likely has a wrist wizard, but isn’t normally on Dick Tracy’s channel..That would explain the hostages already being released, apparently unbeknownst to Li’l Abner..That would explain why Rikki would want to be with Abner when he met Richard coming through the door..Most of all, it would explain the gun shot that just saved Tracy’s life..It would not, however, explain Rikki’s presence at the time of Shortcake’s death. And being an accomplice to murder would seem to cross the line of undercover police work..Unless Shortcake is also alive somewhere, also unbeknownst to Li’l Abner!.Cheap shot one: Abner has got to be one disappointing master assassin. If Melies knew what was going on, as someone else has already said today, Abner may yet live up to his name!.Cheap shot two: Thoughts for Mike and Joe (if they read this, who knows?). There was no suspense in this arc; we know that Mike and Joe weren’t hired to change the name of the comic strip. Therefore, we never had any doubt that Tracy will survive..Perhaps it would have been better to have Sam, Pat, Lizz, or even Lee caught in these deathtraps! We have a lot of emotional investment in these characters, yet we know that the death of any of them would not change the name of the comic strip. Therefore, their individual survivals would be far from certain..And heaven knows, this strip has a history of killing off popular good guys, as well as popular bad guys..Just think of the comments this arc could have generated had it been Sam swimming through the cement, only to meet Abner’s cane. (What the heck, Tracy could have been the one at the last minute to fire the shot that saved him – if that is where Mike and Joe wanted to take the arc!).Just thoughts to stir the ant hill…

All I know is trousers full of wet cement would chafe like crazy…

I highly doubt that Tracys handgun is an “AUTOMATIC” as Kadaver states. Looks like a Semi-Automatic.

I want to know who my twin brother (stilldamatt) thinks pulled off that shot!

My first thought was that BB Eyes had lied to Kadaver about betraying the Apparatus. Sam would recognize BB. Yet helping Tracy would be out of character for BB. Further, he does not have a Wrist Wizard. If Honeymoon was robbed of hers I doubt that this would happen off-panel. Ye Gods! Who fired that shot?

I don’t know if you saw my comment at the end of Friday, the 27th. I had my root canal Friday morning. It wasn’t too bad except for the excruciating pain as the dentist did the deepest part of the root, and it only took about 90 minutes, but then there wasn’t anyone in the office named Kadaver :) The most pain came Friday night through to Saturday morning. It finally calmed down around the middle of Saturday, which I became convinced was never going to happen.

Joe, Mike, Shelley, Shane and Jim never disappoint me. BRAVO!!!

Has to be Rkki — who freed the hostages, who tipped off Sam and Liz and who fired the shot.

At least, if Liz and Sam kill Kadaver, Wendy Wichell won’t have as much to complain abit Dick killing criminals.
