hmm, joadtom, you said: “relies on small, un-educated minds” : i’m in triple sig. look it up. if you aren’t intelligent enough to find it, think MENSA on steroids. and, i have a masters’ degree so that part of your argument is specious. and i do appreciate (fully understand) the concept of accidental shootings. more people, MANY more, are shot by their own weapons or by accident than ever are shot on purpose, faux news propaganda aside.
experienced adult: yep, i took lessons for shotgun, rifle and small arms AND was a member of the NRA. but, again, the new gun lobby has become unhinged. i am not so paranoid as to think that registration, background checks and limiting private ownership to reasonable arms is somehow going to lead to seizure of my weapons. like the man said, if you can’t bring down a deer with 8 shots, you should find a new home for your weapons cuz you aren’t qualified to be around them muchless shoot them!
oh, and, i was a republican until the loonies took over the party. i am embarrassed for my old GOP, for my fellow hunters and for my country that intelligence is taking a back seat to cowardly paranoia.
Don’t complain about someone’s lack of education if you’re going to misspell ‘unoriginal’, uneducated’ and ‘uninspired’, or use such poor English as ‘done this … concept’.

Actually, some good advice here. Ruined, of course, by the need for a dig.

Good points. Based on recent news reports on home shootings, I’d have thought a two-year would have shot Santa while playing with an unsecured gun.

See what happens when guns are too readily available, even imaginary people die needlessly.

Ad in the paper yesterday for a chocolate gun (Glock) and chocolate ammo in a “collector” tin. Talk about imprinting on kids?

What would I say? Another person killed by a readily available gun. Why are children allowed access to guns?

WooHoo someone finally got that burglar that has been breaking into homes every December for centuries.
