If nothing else, at least Alex understands why the people she was paid to fire (and their families) don’t like her. She may not like the payback (who would?) but she accepts it without argument. Not many people in her situation would sit back and let it happen. Maybe that’s why Betty likes her.

I used needles like that on my old cows. They too had a thick hide.
