I know that I didn’t vote for Netanyahu for President of the US. Why should he be setting OUR foreign policy?I’m always wary of someone who keeps saying, “Let’s you and him fight.”

I know I don’t trust Israel to keep their side of peace agreements with the Palestinians.

We shot down an Iranian civilian airliner, Iran has never attacked the U.S.. Israel repeatedly attacked the U.S. S. Liberty, the only Middle East nation (not individuals) to attack the U.S. first, before we invaded them.

I’ll trust those who haven’t attacked us first, first, and not those who’ve attacked all their neighbors over the years, in ‘preemptive" attacks, gee, that would be Netanyahu and the RWNJ’s in THEIR country. Hmm, the model for “shock and awe” as our own military model has been “Isrealized” over the years. “Shoot first, and don’t dare ask any questions..” YEp, that’s the model.

One more time: I have absolutely nothing against “Jews”: I do NOT like Likud,, or Netanyahu and the extreme right-wingers who ignore international law, and are granted full support from AIPAC. There just happend to be a lot of folks in Israel, yes Jews, who agree with me. The “settlements” issue, the blockades called “checkpoints” to persecute the Arab citizens of Israel, and the constant attacks on neighboring countries (who I don’t have any fondness for, but there IS an issue of interntational law constantly being violated), and the general assumption on his part that Netanyahu is in charge of U.S. foreign policy, is “grating”, to say the least.

In the history of terrorism around the world, the several Zionist groups active before and even after Israel was established, were among the most savage, and ruthless. Pretending they never existed doesn’t cut it, historically, or from the standpoint of ethics and morality. THAT “mindset” those groups held is the same I see in Netanyahu.

I greatly admire the competence of the Israeli military, and Mossad, but that doesn’t mean I condone many of their activities, just like some of our own “operations” over the years, and finding “friends” like Pinochet, Saddam before he became our “frenemy” once his war with Iran was over, Karzai, and numerous others who only served to support U.S hegemony in various parts of the world, making corporate beneficiaries of our military actions, very huge profits.

How can the GOP be helpful? Oh, maybe they can filibuster the SECDEF nominee… Oh yeah, they already did that.
