Actually, Obamacare is working fine for quite a lot of people, and the web site is improving weekly. Many hundreds of thousands of poor people have gotten Medicaid insurance for the first time, the rate of health-care inflation is the lowest it’s been in 60 years, and premium costs for individual policies are half what they were just last year. People with insurance no longer have to cover people without. The trick is to avoid being in a state where the GOP is in a position to sabotage the ACA.
While the “roll out” on the ACA hasn’t been smooth, and errors were made, the Republican roll out on the “block anything Obama tries to accomplish” is five years old, and more recent changes in strategy are documented by the House “leadership” too boot!
Yes, ARodney, the facts are that parts of the ACA ARE working, and things are improving, and it can be improved and accommodate more people. As noted in the report you’ve obviously read, the increase in Medical costs in the last three years has been the lowest since the 1960’s. Inflation means there WILL be increases, that same inflation that increases profits btw, but keeping those costs down is important. The ACA CAN do that.
“Fact: Due to The ACA costs are increasing rapidly”.
The actual fact is, as ARodney stated quite well, cost increases that have been SOP forever are at the their lowest in 40 years."..Democrats are so naive and gullible.
Just got notice on my mom’s supplemental plans, no changes, except one said there may be more benefits, and same or lower rates. Florida IS planning to screw with state Medicaid, which already totally sucks, so who know about THAT one!
My private plans are about the same, and meet the law. Medicare isn’t bothered much. BTW: interesting, my private will now PAY FIRST instead of after Medicare, that should prove “interesting”??
For the more strident critics of the ACA, there’s one question I like to ask: Do you believe ACA (or “Obamacare,” if you wish) will fail, or do you hope it will? Motivations mean a lot.
^I’d say wait six more months and see what’s happening then. It’s not at all like waiting over 13 years for "W"s botched actions in Afghanistan and Iraq to “shake out”.
