    I don’t use a cookbook or recipes either, for everything except meat, I look and taste test. I follow the directions on the package for the cooking time of turkey and ham.

    My siblings and I learned early. Mom was a professional cook/chef so we got the basics as soon as we could reach the stove top.

    My Mom and Dad did it a little different. They put the food on the table and called everyone for the meal. If you weren’t there, you didn’t eat. I learned at an early age to be on time for the meal.
