Humanitarian aid is something our Navy is outstanding at, and my son participated in some of that during his time. THAT is what he is most proud of regarding his “service”, not to just our country, but the world. HIs best memories are there, not in his participation in war. Just something to focus on regarding our veterans.

BTW: don’t forget that the Philippines was long a U.S. Territory, and that was part of our “problem” in dealing with the empire of Japan, by refusing to supply them oil from the region.

Further proof that Americans are by nature good people.Awesome post, ma’am! Indeed, most people everywhere are by nature, good people. Everyone seems to recognize that disasters like earthquakes, hurricanes & typhoons are bigger than us. We, in return, get many offers of help from abroad after natural disasters.
