My three are EXPERT pill sputters. We have run the gamut from sausages and meatballs to peanut butter to cream cheese to Apple jelly, and just about anything in between. No soap. Bassets are smart. And, those noses can detect pills hidden in ANYTHING.

Chubb to Fred — you need to take your pill, especially if it is a deworming one; worms not caught at small stage become SNAKES!

My 145 lb Bull Mastiff would take his vitamins pills without the camouflage, but any other pill he required it be hidden in some type of food.

I don’t know if dogs can have applesauce but the man whatever his name is should try it I heard applesauce was good for making the pill go down
