    I’ve been in so many factories, warehouses, and abattoirs that are completely automated. It is freaky that you can traverse row after row of machines, churning out thousands of parts/pieces per second, and never see another human being. Recently I spotted a guy wearing a “be nice to me or I’ll replace you with a perl script” t-shirt. Nice touch.

    The head of the auto worker’s union was being given a tour of General Motors one day by the GM President. When they were viewing a new automated construction line, watching the machines turn and whir, the president of GM said to the Union leader, “I’d like to see you try to collect union dues from those machines.”The union leader looked at the president of GM and said, “I’d like to see you try to sell them a car.”True story…
