But seriously. Good thing they have an extra set of gear in the locker room. And cleats. And a fax machine to get that signed permission slip.

This strip has been almost insulting to football in recent years. Last year, Terry Gallagher comes over from Ireland and turns into a solid defensive back almost overnight. Now Tip Nunn is about to join the team with no experience that we know of, and he’ll probably become a star. Even a good athlete is going to need some sort of learning process in a new sport. It just isn’t that easy.

Hey you have to have three weeks of practice to play HS football in a lot of states.

Nunn, should you get hurt, as seems to be rage in MILFord;1-800- knox-foley! You’ll soon own the school.

Experience, exschmeerience… what experience did Spiderman have?? Superman?? Gil Thorp?? Obama?? None! And look at how that turned out!

When I was on the high school track team the coach wanted to win one match so badly that he had a kid who smoked and never was on the team come to that one meet. The kid won his event, threw up, and then went home. Wonder what the coach paid him…….

And….problem solved. A rash of injuries solved by getting one new wide receiver. Playdowns here we come!

Would be appropriate for The Monday Night Countdown guys to have Tipperello in their “Jacked Up” segment.

Sadly, the gag exploding football in P1 broke all of Nunn’s fingers and he’ll be useless for the rest of the season.
