She didn’t seem all that pleased a few days ago, before it became clear what this was about. But she appears really forlorn now; could it be that doing the Thanksgiving play meant more to her than she had realized, after having learned that they’re not asking for her services this time?
Right on, Linda! One of my earliest memories is pulling my little brother in a wagon while holding up a sign that said “war is unhealthy for children and other living things” as my parents protested at our local university. That’s what we need today and in the worst way. As an aside, I’ve got to say that the technology we have today sure does make phone bank calling easier! :)
