Just because Clinton sinned doesn’t give anyone else a pass. Did you get away with that when you were a Kid?

Corporations like Walmart and McDonald make huge profit by paying their workers peanuts. Is it any wonders most these workers are on foodstamps?

“Getting past this…” You mean getting past your first lie? You need to list to Rush a little less so that your brain can recover a little sanity from time to time. “Libs don’t believe in Jesus…” What a crock of rushpoop! Or is it fauxpoop? It is amazing how some poeple can wear their stupidity out in front so all can see it.

I am old enough to remember when the economy was a rising tide that lifted all boats. Now it just raises the yachts. Since Reagan the bottom 20% have seen their real incomes shrink.

One reason I hope my faith in God will be realized is because I am hoping that all of those who do great harm in the name of religion will have that opportunity to sit across from God and explain why they put money, profits and power above love, compassion, and caring for their brothers/sisters.Christian conservatives say God is Love, and quote First Corinthians 1 thru 13, then they vote to take food from the mouths of children and want to jail, even execute, those who are not Christians and who want to live life differently. The Muslims conservatives say that Allah is merciful and compassionate, and then they manipulate their fellow Muslims into strapping on bomb vests to kill other Muslims. The most dangerous atheist is the one who says he believes in God in order to further his own goals. Ironically, it is the actual atheist, the one who states with resolve that he/she does not believe in God, who is often the most humane, the most compassionate to their neighbor, and the most (please forgive me atheists) Christian in how they conduct their lives. It is those atheists of whom Pope Francis spoke; the ones who live a life caring for their fellow man and their planet. The may not believe in God, but God believes in them. As far as the unloving Christians go, I suggest the book of Hosea, and then practicing the lessons from 1st Cor. 1-13.Respectfully,C.

Live in a bubble much? Jesus urged people towards social justice, taking care of the poor. You see any of that with today’s Republiclans? He said what you do to the least of my brothers you do unto me. I am thinking you will have a hard time with some of the questions asked at the Pearly Gates. And cons may say they believe in Jesus but they sure as Hell don’t follow Him.

Obviously you don’t know many “libs” do you. Or maybe you don’t believe in Jesus and have never been to church! As far as profit – remember ;most of that goes to filling the pockets and over indulgence of those corporate leaders and stockholders.

Great comment and picture of reality.Remember the real cause of Communism was having a very small and extremely rich upper class while the majority of the people were struggling to survive! Sound familiar?

Medicare, Social Security, Unemployment, and just about anything that helps people who are struggling with two and three jobs to support a family.

Please make at least some attempt to understand how our government works. President Obama (other than the extreme power of the veto) does NOT control the purse strings of the federal government, Congress does (as specified in the same US Constitution that you ultra conservatives are always supposedly defending). And within that very Congress it is the Republican controlled House of Representatives that must initiate any federal governmental funding, be it corporate welfare, food stamps, or anything else for that matter!!

Let us examine just what did Jesus have to say about the poor:

Matthew 25:34-36: Then the king will say to those at his right hand, “Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.”

From this, it certainly sounds like Jesus himself affiliated himself with the poor. So as we take care of the poor, either through our own private charities and churches, or even through our support of governmental help for the poor, we also give directly to Jesus himself, who gave everything for us in return. So as usual, a total ultra conservative is completely wrong about Jesus himself!!

What planet are you all on? Bush tanked the economy – not Obama. He has tried valiantly to save it, despite republican opposition. And liberals don’t believe in Jesus? Wait – the Jesus that said to feed the hungry and clothe the poor – not throw them in the street to starve and freeze? Hmmmm… it seems liberals DO what Jesus said, while conservatives SAY they believe and IGNORE what he said. I guess that’s why liberals are much more likely to not divorce, maintain two traditional parent families, and raise kids who go on to be good citizens. Conservatives SAY they believe in family values, but live like trailer trash. Hmmmmm….
