You need bigger feet Sally.

I remember the year I asked for a lime in my stocking (because I’d never had one before). My mother thought I was crazy, but she put one in anyway. I ate it — but I was surprised to learn that limes are even more sour-tasting than lemons are!

Just remember that any fruit will taste better than coal.

I remember when buying a crate of oranges was a part of Christmas. The smell of orange peel mixed with the smell of pine needles is one of my memories. Real trees in those days. We always had an orange in our stocking, along with Brazil nuts etc—exotic at that time in that place. My parents didn’t allow us to believe in Santa (although with TV around how could you, really?) We “played Santa” for each other which was more fun.

I still get oranges in my stocking and eat them haha :P I am a bit to old for this

Odd set-up. “Gramma says…” This is the first Charlie Brown and Sally have heard about stockings?

When I was a child during the Depression, an orange was a very special thing to get at Christmas. Even today, navel oranges are one of my favorite fruits.

If I ever got an orange in my stocking I’d never put up my stocking again. I can’t stand oranges.

Or 3 tiny lumps of coal…

Oranges???? By 1960 Tang was the in thing. And is Sally referring to her bra?
