We live at the end of a long country lane. We’ve had five trick or treaters in the 40 years we’ve lived here. Apparently, you have to be desperate for a free candy bar to come down here after dark.
I like to humor the neighbor kids who normally come over to play here (and pick my oranges) and back when Cuddles was with me we say outside the whole evening (because it made her happy).
Now that she’s gone, and I’ll not get another bird, I only give to whoever rings and once I shut the lights, I won’t be bothered (all the costumes are either junk from store or the “no bother” hobo or such. Good costumes were fun.
