That movie has been out for 60 years and people still are cautious when taking a shower in a cheap motel because of it.
My sister and I watched “Psycho” at a theater in town and we RAN several blocks home after the show! I think this was in January of 1961.
That entirely depends on your mythos. And the beliefs you were taught.
