The Republican policy SHOULD be a free market in health care. What we have now is a typical private/governmental monstrosity that fits the traditional Leftist strategy of the last 100 years: Interfere in the economy, then use the resulting problems as the excuse for further interference. The eventual goal is to have everyone dependent on government for everything. The only winners are the power-lusters who know better than you do how to live your life.

Actually the Republican heath care plan is to remove the state barriers then have all the big insurance companies move to the state with the weakest consumer protections and the least government oversight. Then the typical health insurance plan would be about the length of War and Peace, be written entirely in legalese and totally worthless to anyone trying to use it.
