Key & Peele did a great sketch where Obama figured out that the repubs were going to be against anything he said, so he just reversed his positions and forced them to do what he wanted.

I am a Republican, but have never been to any of their public (by invitation only) events. Government is not supposed to be a gated community with a self appointed homes association.

Not only do they have health care, they also get paid during so it isn’t something that hurts them shutting things down.

“… withhold healthcare from others.”What healthcare? Let’s not forget that the ACA is a republican so-called healthcare plan (it was originally Romneycare, remember?), meaning it gives free money to big insurance biz and won’t result in anybody actually getting any healthcare. But because people have the idea that it’s better then nothing, it will stand in the way of a real healthcare program (single-payer, aka Medicare for all) for another generation.

Those thirty millions may get “coverage” under the “low-cost” (HA!) option, but it doesn’t really cover anything. About as many people (45,000 a year) will die of lack of health insurance as before. I grant you, maybe a few people will get some kind of care, and any improvement on that 45k is desirable, but with single-payer we could take the number to zero, and because Mr. Obama insisted on enacting Romneycare on a national level, it’ll be thirty years before we can talk about it again.

85% of the country had health insurance and most were satisfied with it. That fool in the White House decided to ruin it for the 85% so the 15% could get FREE health insurance. The latest estimate from the CBO is that even if this debacle is completely implemented, there will STILL be over 30 million people without health insurance because they will prefer to pay the minor penalty rather than the high premiums. Of course, all of you Obamabot koolaid drinkers will deny, deny, deny all of this and blame the republicans.Idiots.
