Question: Would the righteous righties be against no-texting-while-driving laws because they’re an example of intrusive big government interfering with our personal liberties?
Texting while driving should be an automatic six months in prison and $100,000 fine, under FEDERAL LAW for ALL STATES! AND, permanent loss of driving privilege in ALL states!
Radish, I agree, my brother was killed by one. My sister-in-law was arrested SIX TIMES on DUII before they finally threw her in jail! (30 days, suspended, spent two days in the slammer.)

driving is a privilege and not a right, so I think they would be ok with it.

Trouble is that even carrying on a conversation on a speakerphone, while keeping your eyes on the road, has shown to be distracting.
