The guy just better be glad that ‘Dukey’ is not a mean dog or they would summoning the paramedics to treat a nasty bite. In answer, Ms. Susan, it probably was the easiest way into the house. Although, with ’Dukey’s’ reputation, one would wonder why he would pick Phil’s house to burglarize.
My mom’s Bassets wouldn’t have been so great at this. One would’ve growled and maybe chased him , but the other would’ve rolled over and waited for a tummy rub.
