Obama is more like Andrew Jackson on the budget. Jackson’s abolition of the national bank left the country in economic ruin and his nullification crisis in a fight with states was equally runious to his Presidency.
It’s the GOP, not the president, who are threatening to break the debt ceiling. Unless, of course, they get everything Romney ran on and lost, with the bonus that constitutional democracy will be ended permanently and the government will be controlled by whichever party is more willing to destroy the country.
Jackson’s Congress stole my ancestors’ (who were more highly educated and better Christians than the Congress) land and sent them to Oklahoma, because the land was “worthless”. Later as the nation moved west, they stole that land too and gave it to “sooners”. Today, the Republicans again want to steal the public land and resources, and give it to their “friends”, called “political contributors”.
The TEA party represent those same ignorant savages who made up Jackson’s Congress, and cabinet. So a better catch than you thought, Enoki. And yes, this bunch too will bankrupt the nation, and they’ve been trying since Reagan took office.

All those “treads” will soon be leaving all those recaps along the side of the road, more wasted rubber.

Yet another GOP self-inflicted wound. Unfortunately America is being wounded as well.
