    @Rad-ish

    The establishment Republicans had nothing to do with creating and controlling the Tea Party. It took off all by itself. That’s the problem with you socialist losers. You need big government to do everything for you, including the creation of socialist so-called grass roots movements, like the 99% Stupid and the Occupy While Smelling Of Manure Pit movements. But then most socialist supporters tend to have the IQ of a vegetable, so it isn’t too difficult to distort reality in order to justify loser socialism.

    The tea-party was a grass-roots movement for about two months, then it was almost immediately co-opted by big-money groups and weird Taliban-style religious nuts. The real tea party activists have long vanished, their $100 donations swamped by the $100s of millions given by the Koch brothers. Why would real Americans want to block a free market for private health insurance, and kill jobs with sequesters? It makes no sense.

    Mr. Arial usually slants right. I guess the Tea Party is finally too far right for even him.

    The TEA party is a “grass roots movement” of Astroturf, plastic fraud with no roots at all, except the funding of KOCH and other moneyed interests that have conned a bunch of morons. The ORIGINAL movement did have a few concerned, but sane, folks. That isn’t true any more.

    So Freedomworks & Americans for Prosperity are grass roots organizations? Huh. The stuff I learn from GoComics.

    The Tea Party was formed when a group of wealthy Republican donors realized they could twist the backlash over TARP to their own purposes.

    The secretly financed TSE (Tax Somebody Else) really, really, wants to cut spending. Everywhere except where it benefits them.
    -
    They absolutely hate it when, you know, those people receive any benefits.
    -
    Benefits should be reserved for family farmers, like ADM.

    Old Tea Party motto: “Don’t Tread on Me!”

    New Tea Party motto: “We just want to watch the World burn!”

    There’s a fellow out there – I think he belongs to the Mugwump County Tin-Foil Hat Posse or some such – who keeps claiming that there are actual Tea Party Meetings – other than his own get-togethers with his Teddy Bear, a la Alice on her journeys through looking-glasses, down rabbit holes, and into Wonderland, that is – and he keeps on insisting that those of us who don’t really appreciate ridiculous political puerility in our politics all that much in our lives today really “ought to attend one”, to “see and hear what it really is”. Principle questions: Where? When – Dates and Times, that is? Chaired by whom? Agenda? And, of course, refreshments – other than Kool-Aid and hot air, if any?

    And, oh, yes! No necessity to introduce snake-handling as part of the show!
