The elephant is a perfect symbol for the GOP: they mate indiscriminately, go crazy when they don’t get their way, and always leave a huge mess they just walk away from.

This cartoon was probably drawn before the teabaggers shut down the government.When the troops don’t get paid and they get late charges on their mortgages, will they vote a straight Democratic ticket next time. (like I have for 40 years)

Now that I think of it, it would be interesting if the troops were not being paid. In many countries, this would lead to a military coup.

Wait until Wall Street realizes that the GOP might allow the debt ceiling to be hit, causing a huge run in the markets. I think there’s going to be some re-thinking about who businesses should be getting elected, and it’s not the destroy-America-at-all-costs party. There might be a moderate Republican, but 100% of them voted for the shut-down. Three times.

Enoki: my son spent 13 years in the Navy, and is disabled retired, from combat injuries. The “old hats” at the Pentagon are claiming his injuries, and thousands of others’ disabilities are NOT “combat related” even though their own doctors and psychiatrists say they ARE, so the can deprive them of their RIGHTFUL retirement and VA benefits. YOU must be one of those “old hats” screwing the troops, RIGHT????

VA is on the side OF THE TROOPS! The Pentagon is too busy taking care of the MIC profiteers, than our troops! GC won’t let me say the appropriate “verbiage” to describe these folks accurately!!
