Right — we shouldn’t abandon our allies. Because we trust people who say they want to negotiate a peaceful solution, even when we can’t hear the details over all that hammering from the construction of illegal settlements on Arab territory.

This new leader stated on the record the Holocaust occurred and was an afront to Christians and Muslims as well as Jews.Mr. Kerry is supposed to start high level talks with Iranian representatives today. If Iran’s nose grows, it will be quickly apparent. If they permit UN inspections without impediments, and make other concessions, then, through verification, we can trust, to paraphrase Mr. Reagan. If Iran blocks inspections, it will be easy enough to maintain the status quo. Until Iran has a missile defense program equal to Israel’s, they are unlikely to launch a weapon, but I have another fear.Currently, only Pakistan and North Korea are nations with nukes that could “accidentally” find their way into the hands of terrorists. Russia’s control of their warheads is concerning as well. But if Iran develops warheads, it will be harder to identify the source of a terrorist event when it happens. The fact that it will be done "In the Name of "God"", only makes it sadder since both of the holy books of Christianity and Muslim have more references to love than hate.Respectfully,C.

Thank you for filling in the gaps, Mr. Kiser. My two news sources did not provide a transcript and it would have been better had Mr. Rouhani had used the word holocaust. I remember friends of my parents with numbers tattooed their arm and when I asked about it, they told me to look it up. I was young and horrified to read the history and see the images.I would like to give diplomacy a chance to work, a chance for Iran to give access to all sites the UN inspectors will want to see, and to see how sincere they are to change the relationship they have with the West. Every Iranian I’ve ever met loves the west and was secular. I’m not saying we should trust but verify. I’m saying we should verify, then trust… with caveats. What would you recommend?Sincerely,C.

Odd the right-wing chicken necks forget “Iran-Contra” and the fact their “hero Ron” provided them with weapons. Of course there were those chemical weapons we provided Saddam as well, so exactly what’s the “trust” problem source? Oh, right we back the only nuclear armed nation in the MIddle East, you know, the only one that has ever attacked the United States Navy as a “friendly gesture”!

Rouhani said, “The Nazis carried out a massacre that cannot be denied, especially against the Jewish people.”No, he did not use the specific word holocaust. His predecessor flat out denied the holocaust.Rouhani admitted that while he was negotiating with the Europeans, Iran was installing equipment at a research reactor in Isfahan. His line, and the official line from the Ayatollah, is that the research is for badly needed power, not weapons. I’d like to see your source for the claim that Rouhani bragged about ‘lying to the West’. I think it’s pointless to focus on Rouhani when he is not the one running his country.

Iran wants nukes? We have plenty. Where do they want them dropped? We can pinpoint the detonation zone within a meter.A firm believer in American Exceptionalism or the psychotic raving of a man advocating genocide?

Excellent point Mr. Varney! While there is some good wordage in the Old Testament, after reading Numbers and Deuteronomy, and realizing how many offenses would have me “taken to the city gates and stoned to death”, I placed less emphasis on that dogma and held to the words of my Imman, Jesus of Nazareth, who is in the Quoran, when, in the NT he says, “Love God, and love your neighbor as you love yourself.” If I’m wrong, I’ll find out on the other side, or, if my atheist friends are right, I won’t care.As long as the southern Baptists and the Taliban aren’t right, I think I’ll be ok.And I thin you “R 2”Thank you Mr. Varney.Sincerely,C.

Ansonia, an unimpeded inspection group has the ability to visit any location it wishes, whenever it wishes. The question you ask beg this question, what is the alternative? Should we just bomb any location we think might be hiding nukes even if the UN inspectors are given total access? Are you saying there ARE no diplomatic solutions?I do not know what the future holds, and all of this may be Iran buying more time, but in a civil society of law abiding nations, what do you think should be done?Respectfully,C.
