What’s wrong with accents? Nothing, except when they’re used by cartoonists and Hollywood to make us Latinos look like jokes.

I liked the Frito Bandito. He was cute and funny!

Terri Brittingham: Yeah. I used “bloody” (meaning blood and gore) around a Glaswegian in Canada once and got chewed out for five minutes. When she came up for air, I said, “remind me not to discuss the engineering abilities of the national mammal around you.” and walked off.

I suppose Bill Dana’s humor would be objectionable for similar reasons?

I always thought the Bandito was very cool.

To all the people who tried to educate me about English ( note English) , I am aware of all that. I’m with ‘wecatsgocomics’ who doesn’t like the shift in meaning. It is never good when you start to neutralise a term for evil i.e. wicked. It confuses thought and then actions.

Try looking at Frito lay’s website in their history page….you won’t find him.

About making Hispanics look bad…yeah, just like Yosemite Sam makes us all look like southern Rednecks…But I can see why you may be sensitive no doubt.
