Ramirez is wasting a good cartoon concept here. He should be saving it for nearer the next election, implying that Obama is like Nataraja, as depicted in the Hindu statuette of the god Shiva..He dances to the beat of a drum and the ring of flames represent the rise and fall of creations (presidential administrations). He prepares the way for Brahma to begin another creation. “Brahma,” would mean the next Republican candidate. .I don’t necessarily believe that, but it would be an interesting and literate cartoon. Ramirez cartoons are often like 3-D artwork, and for that I admire him. His often 2-D thinking is less to be admired, in my opinion. .http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nataraja

I think Obama had a different thought in mind…“Put your left foot in, take your left foot out, put your right foot in and shake it all about,…”

C’mon now, Putin is much more buff than depicted here. He should have been bareback on a wild steed leading the way. Sort of like reality but different.

It seems that way almost every election, but then the election results for the two parties are within a few percentage points of each other. I think people vote for the advertising, not the candidate. And follow the lead of party spokespeople and conservative or liberal pundits they like. And they have sentimental favorites, faithful to them beyond all common sense. How else do you explain Chicago Cubs fans?

Last I looked Obama’s head was wider than his nose, he had two good eyes, he was not bald and his ears were not positioned on the back of his neck behind his mouth. Ramirez should take some drawing lessons then perhaps he would not appear to be perceptually handicapped. Parody does have its limits.
