TOTALLY IDIOTIC IDEA. Non-violence against an oppressor has to be done by the people oppressed, not by outsiders…it is up to the Syrians to do so, not Obama. A better analogy : the West’s attempt to calm Hitler down via political means… didn’t work very well, did it? The only way to stop Assad will be through force…it should have been used long before Assad began using chemical weapons.
